The Department of Pedodontics and Preventive Dentistry, Government Dental College and Hospital, Ahmedabad has experienced, skillful and dedicated teaching staff with a Professor, an Assistant Professor and 5 tutor staff, who are systematically divided to guide and train the UG and PG students. We have 3 PG seats per year as per DCI rules. The mission of Department is to deliver quality dental health and services with the state of art and technology, easy accessibility, affordability and equity to pediatric patient including patients with Special health care needs like cardiac diseases and other systemic diseases patients. We are providing dental health education and treatment with behaviour management techniques to instil a positive dental attitude in children.

The department is equipped with adequate number of electrically operated Dental chairs with newer advances like Conscious Sedation Unit, Departmental Library, Digital Seminar Hall and UG & PG Preclinical area with Phantom heads and necessary instruments and also play area for children. The department encourages and provides a healthy environment to the students for better academic and clinical performance.
