Government Dental College and Hospital provides a platform for innovation, research and publication of newer concepts via research center for their students and staffs. The institute has a central research center with all advanced equipment, infrastructure for research in the field of all subjects of dentistry. The institute research center is well equipped with trinocular microscope with camera attachment, incubator, PRF Centrifuge, Tissue processor, oven, microtome, digital weighing machine, tissue floatation bath and so on.
The institute is organizing workshops and seminars every year to enrich the knowledge and innovative ideas in various field of dentistry. Staffs and students are well encouraged for publication of manuscripts in standard indexed research journals, for scientific presentation in international/national conferences and participation in special awards for prize winning.
Institution has a well-established research oriented institutional ethical committee, which include researchers those are excellent in the field of innovation. Students / Staffs (Ph.D researchers are guided and analyzed by experienced subject experts as well as peer reviewers. Once the mentor identifies the student as fast learners, they are given opportunity for presentation of papers/posters/table top clinics in conference and conventions. Such students were guided and encouraged to publish their innovations in research journals. During internship, students are encouraged for research/survey /clinical studies. GDCH is also organizing workshop programme on research methodology, research writing, and statistics for the post graduate students and staffs by experts in respective fields. Our postgraduate students have published enormous number of research papers in esteemed journals. Our institute has Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with national and international research institutes to promote combined researches. Interested students and researchers are attending workshops, Seminars, symposium organized by the institution with other well-known Colleges/University.
